What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them has gone astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine on the mountains and go in search of the one that went astray? And if he finds it, truly, I say to you, he rejoices over it more than over the ninety-nine that never went astray. So it is not the will of my Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish.
Matthew 18:12-14
The art of story telling is indeed older than the Bible! Before words could be written or people could read, stories were passed from the heart to one another. Stories could be retold and heard in a new way and understood in a new light. There are many christian based curriculum's that are based on the effectiveness of giving the gift of our religion to children through story. The Montessori method is often used but other variations of story are as effective such as felt boards, published books and even through song.
This site is meant to be a resource for people who are called to be Church School Directors or Coordinators, Clergy & Lay, as well as parents who want a more wider understanding or place for inspiration.
We appreciate your feedback and input as to what would be useful in your ministry work. We do not endorse one business more than another as we have learned that it is important to find what works for you and your congregation. Whatever is offered to the children, we know from experience that they will offer more back in return and from that we hope to be able to all enter the kingdom of heaven as a child of the light.
-so come, Tell Me Stories!
“Let the children come to me; do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God. Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it.” And he took them in his arms and blessed them, laying his hands on them. --Mark 10:13-16

About Us
I was first introduced to "Godly Play", a Montessori style program for childrens christian education, in 1999. I was drawn in by it's simplicity and richness of materials and room design. I am a design professional by trade but have been enriched and inspired every year that I have been involved with christian education. I have found many other resources that fit our program needs and allowed more dimensions to be experienced. My hope is to be a resource to others for a hybrid approach to storytelling and understanding the christian faith. As I continue to find inspiration and understanding down this path, I hope to bring both adult and children alike to a place where they can find their own inspiration, hope and God's grace through story.
